So you’re wanting to pick up a few more clients as a Virtual Assistant using Facebook.

Great idea! Facebook groups are a wonderful tool to find community and connect with other companies that could use your services.

Why Facebook?

Facebook is an excellent resource for community, but I probably didn’t need to tell you that did I?

What you might not realize though is their Facebook group feature is excellent for finding niche communities.

So if you are looking for a particular niche group of people to find potential clients, I definitely recommend joining a few of these groups and keeping your eye on the for job postings.

Most people will post an application if they’re hiring, so you can quickly find openings and throw your name in the hat.

And, if you’re active and take the time to build up relationships with people in the groups, you could find clients through old fashioned networking!

A Note about Using Facebook Groups

When using Facebook groups for self-promotion, you want to be smart about it.

First off, don’t be spammy.

Second, try to naturally engage with users in the group.

If someone has asked a question that you can answer, go ahead and answer it!

And third, make sure to check the group rules before posting anything self-promotion based (if you post anything at all, most groups don’t allow open promo except maybe for a dedicated day or on a dedicated post – be sure to respect those rules!)

9 Facebook Groups to find Clients as a Virtual Assistant

Team EGB’s Party Pad

This is a student-only Facebook group that is my favorite online community that I’ve come across.

A former client of mine (back in my copy coaching days for The Profitable Playground), Elizabeth Goddard is a brilliant online business strategist.

The members are so intelligent, creative and innovative, I strongly recommend joining it once you’ve purchased one of Lizzy’s product. (You do need to purchase one of her products to get access, but don’t worry – she has offers as low as $9, and it’s so worth it even if it’s just to join this group!)

I’ve found a few clients myself as being a part of it 🙂

Virtual Assistant Savvies

This is a massive Facebook group community for Virtual Assistants.

There’s new job postings almost every day it seems, asking for a variety of different types of virtual assistants.

A great place for entry level VAs to start their search!

Female Social Media Managers & Agency Owners – by Lucy Vincent

If you’re a Social Media Manager or Content VA, this is a good group for you to join.

Agencies might be looking for additional content or social media support and ask for VA clients here.

It’s also a great place for you to get feedback on your services and ask questions, or do some research!

Her Vibe Hustle: Entrepreneurs

Another pretty active group with opportunities to search for.

This one may require some filtering (at least at the time of writing this post, there’s more spammy-type content which can be common), but there are some genuine posts in here that make it worth joining.

Thriving Female Entrepreneurs

A great group of female entrepreneurs that’s really active.

There’s a lot of posts about being ADHD or neurodivergent in business too, so if you identify with either of those traits, this could be a great place for you to start!

Women Entrepreneurs & Coaches: Summits, Speaking, & Collabs

While this one technically isn’t the place for potential clients to post job openings, it’s a great place to connect with other entrepreneurs.

And who knows, maybe you’ll find some events to participate in.

There’s always a variety of niche events looking for contributors, and speaking at these digital events is a great way to build your authority and increase brand awareness.

Female Freelance Creatives

Ran by another digital nomad, this is another great community to check out.

There’s lots of potential opportunities and people getting to know one another.

Definitely recommend checking out this group.

The Social Bungalow Community for Online Entrepreneurs

Another larger group that is a very active community of online entrepreneurs.

There’s a ton of brilliant thought leaders and founders looking for support, either for themselves or for their clients.

You can be strategic about how you promo in these groups too.

Ask people smart questions that relate to your work.

Having an active post can result in people getting curious about who you are – so make sure your Facebook profile includes the information with how to work with you!

Digital Nomad Girls Community

Another must join community for any female digital nomad.

The creator of this group is great, and there’s lots of potential opportunities listed here.

It can even be a place for you to connect with some potential travel buddies!

Don’t forget to update your Facebook Profile

Before you start getting active in these groups, make sure you update your profile with information on how to work with you!

Things like making sure your photos are relatively up to date, you have a link to your website, application, or scheduler to book a call with you, and maybe even a cover photo that shares the work you do.

The more you create space for your business to show up, the more likely you’ll get bites for clients!
